FAQs for Professionals
About Biteline
Q: How does Biteline work?
A:We are a job networking platform that helps connect dental professionals to open opportunities with local dental practices.! We are essentially a job board for the dental world! You have the ability to work where you want when you want.
Q: Is Biteline a staffing agency?
A: Biteline is NOT a staffing agency. Unlike staffing agencies, you work through us, not for us. Using our app platform, you are able to connect with the offices you would like to work with.
Q: What if the app is not showing any jobs in my area?
A: We will be coming to your area very soon! It’s great that you’ve made a profile because that means you will have first access to jobs when they become available. We will also touch base with you again when the time comes!
Q: What kind of job opportunities does Biteline offer?
A: We connect dental professionals who are searching for temp work and permanent positions to open opportunities! Offices have openings for both.
Q: How do I get paid?
A: Our offices pay you directly – the great thing about Biteline is that we never take a portion of your pay like staffing agencies. Offices typically pay at the end of the day (check or 1099) or W2 (payroll). If you have any questions on how the office will pay you, you can send them a message on our platform via our chat feature.
Using Biteline
Q: How can I view all current opportunities in my area?
A: You can go to our “Discover” tab and use our filter feature to find jobs. Also, jobs are always getting posted so make sure your availability is up to date so you get notified of matching jobs.
Q: How often should I update my availability?
A: We strongly encourage you to update your availability as soon as anything changes with your schedule. A good tip is to check your app calendar weekly.
Q: What if I work full-time and only have certain days available?
A: No worries! Many of our pros work their regular full-time schedule and temp on the days their office is closed.
Q: Can I browse for jobs without my current employer seeing my profile on the platform?
A: We offer the option to browse anonymously. Go to My Profile>Availability>Browse Anonymously and toggle on the button.
Q: Should I contact the office prior to the job date?
A: Yes! We recommend that you send a message through Biteline prior to the job date to ensure that you are fully prepared for the job. Go to My Jobs>Upcoming Jobs>Select the appropriate post>Click on the chat bubble icon next to the poster’s name.
Q: What if I just accepted a full-time position?
A: Thank you for letting us know – remember to update your availability so you don’t receive notifications and please refer any fellow professionals that you think would benefit from our services. Troubleshooting
Q: Why am I getting an error message when I try to log in?
A: Our login feature is case sensitive. Just a friendly reminder to make sure that “Caps Lock” is off and all characters match your initial username and log in. If there are still issues logging in, please contact our team at support@biteline.net
Q: Why am I not receiving any offers or messages from offices?
A: You may have the option to set yourself to “browse anonymously” turned on. While you can view jobs on your own time and not feel pressured, offices are unable to view your profile, limiting any potential offers/messages being sent. To turn off anonymous browsing, go to My Profile>Availability>Browse Anonymously and toggle on the button.
Q: Why am I not receiving any emails or reminders for upcoming jobs?
A: Make sure all notifications preferences are on.” Go to Settings>Notification Settings and make sure all desired notifications types are set to “On”
