FAQs for Practices
Getting Started
Q: How do I post jobs?
A: Biteline allows you to post jobs on your own schedule as soon as the need arises. Check out our video on “How to Post a Job” to learn more.
Q: How can I communicate with applicants?
A: The Biteline app makes it convenient to message any pro directly through our platform. They receive an immediate notification once you have sent them a message.
Q: How can I find pros who are nearby?
A: Go to the “Discover” tab and filter pros by position, availability, and distance.
Q: Our team member called out sick the day before or the morning of. Can I post that job on Biteline?
A: We understand that life happens and fill-in dental professionals are needed with a short notice. We recommend a job being posted for that day but also contacting our Customer Success department so that we can help recruit for you as well. Although, we cannot guarantee to find a dental professional for you for that day, we do try our best to help fill the job!
Q: How soon should I post any job needs?
A: We encourage you to post as soon as a need has been determined so that pros can plan accordingly. Many are making their schedules out weeks or sometimes even months in advance.
Q: What if I need to cancel a posting for a particular day that was already filled?
A: Per our cancellation policy, we highly encourage you to cancel and notify the pro at least 48 hours prior to the start date to allow the pro time to find other opportunities. You may delete an individual job within the “My Jobs” tab. However, please notify your customer success manager or support@biteline.net of any cancellations.
Q: How are the dental professionals paid?
A: Currently, Biteline does not handle payment to the dental professionals. You can pay them directly using whichever method your office prefers or is recommended by your accountant.
Job Posting Tips
Q: How often should I check the app?
A: We recommend checking your notifications daily so that you can keep track of any job fills, cancellations, or messages received from pros.
Q: Do I need to reach out to each pro prior to their shift?
A: While this is not mandatory, we strongly encourage you to touch base with each pro to ensure they understand what is expected of them prior to their shift. This is a great opportunity to discuss any special parking situations, dress attire, etc. Go to My Jobs>My Posts>Select the appropriate post>Click on the chat bubble icon next to the pro’s name.
Q: What happens if a pro cancels at the last minute?
A: Contact your Customer Success Manager or support@biteline.net about the cancellation right away. Biteline will try our best to find a pro to fill that job on short notice. While it can be difficult to find a replacement on short notice, if a pro cannot be found, that day will not count as a fill per Biteline’s terms and conditions. A fill is only when a pro comes in for a job and completes a shift.
Q: Is there a way that I can post a job without current team members of the office seeing the job post on the platform?
A: We completely understand that some offices prefer to stay anonymous during their hiring process. Although we do not recommend this because most dental professionals like to know the name of the office prior to applying, contact success@biteline.net and we can create an anonymous post for you in certain cases.
After the Job
Q: I loved the dental professional that filled in at our office and agreed to have them come for a couple of more days. Do I need to let someone know?
A: We love it when our offices love the dental professionals that fill in for them! We ask that you mark those jobs as filled on Biteline or let us know of the days that you agree for them to come again so that we can recruit accordingly. Also, don’t forget to leave them a good review!
Troubleshooting
Q: Why am I getting an error message when I try to log in?
A: Our login feature is extremely case sensitive. Just a friendly reminder to make sure that “Caps Lock” is off and all characters match your initial username and log in. If there are still issues logging in, please contact our team at support@biteline.net
Q: Can I create a job without having to put in all my information again?
A: Most definitely! When you go to create a new job, you have the option to duplicate a previous job. All the pertinent information will be there for that posting (ex job description, software, rate, etc.). You would just update the hours and date accordingly (if applicable).
Q: Why am I not receiving any emails or reminders for upcoming jobs?
A: Make sure all notifications are set to “On” under Settings>Notification Settings
