We hear these words a lot, especially this time of year. 

But at Biteline, these aren’t just buzzwords – they’re standards by which we operate our business, manage our team, and support our users.

As a business, we are committed to serving dental professionals and offices in healthy and valuable, honest and mindful ways. We see it as a privilege and a personal responsibility to do the work we do, and we act in ways that honor a standard of excellence – we support choice, diversity, equity, and are inclusive across gender, race, sexual orientation, as well as cultural and spiritual practices.

As a team, we exemplify diversity. We are a small but mighty team, made of members of all different types of communities – across gender, race, and sexual orientation. Because of this, we hope to better serve our users by building and operating Biteline with the input of diverse mindsets and ideas; we want to advocate for and empower our professionals and our offices in the most supportive way possible. That means celebrating who they are as people, and we are a proud champion of people. And as we do to keep the body healthy, we work from the inside out.

As part of the dental industry, we hope to set a precedent. The patient population is diverse, but the dental workforce still has a ways to go. We want to provide a platform for professionals of all ages, races, genders, and sexual orientations, and we encourage offices to hire accordingly. Inclusivity is key; everyone deserves access to dental care.

But we strive for more than diversity, equity, and inclusion; we strive for belonging. Belonging for our team, our professionals, our practices. We want everyone to feel safe and welcome when working with us and in a professional dental setting; this is important work for professionals and offices, not only for the health of the workplace, but for the health of the patient – because it helps to create a safer environment, to serve them better and to ultimately encourage a stronger, more consistent oral health journey. 

And as these values are the heart of Biteline, we know this is something we have to keep healthy; it is an ongoing commitment and challenge, as we are constantly learning and looking to improve. We encourage others to do the same everywhere – especially within this industry.

After much consideration, we have decided to discontinue our current Biteline job posting and staffing services. While we understand that this may come as a surprise, we want to assure you that we made this decision with the utmost consideration for our community and the future of Biteline. 

Key Dates

  • Platform Availability: The Biteline staffing platform will remain accessible through August 18, 2023
  • Support Availability: Please note that support for the platform will officially end on August 4, 2023.

Information for Offices

  • We will honor job fills with end dates through this 8/18.
  • Feel free to make a list of your favorite pros. Our new product will allow you to invite them to the platform.
  • All final invoices will be sent in the first week of August.

Information for Pros

  • Feel free to contact your favorite offices to continue temping. These offices may invite you to the new platform down the road.
  • Bonuses will be paid for jobs completed through July 31, 2023

What’s Next for Biteline?

Biteline is developing a unified talent management platform scheduled for launch in Fall 2023. This platform will bring many innovative features to streamline your talent management needs. Send us an email for a demo to support@biteline.net. We’d love to get your feedback. The initial elements of this new platform will include 

  • Online substitution list 
  • Shift schedule management

Future functionality will include

  • 1:1 feedback tools between doctors and workers
  • Internal communications functionality – company announcements and updates, employee recognition
  • Community management capabilities – knowledge sharing and networking
